Since 2012, Void e.V. has made it its mission to enrich the local cultural landscape with informal underground events and innovative bands and musicians through the combined efforts of people interested in music.
The Upper Palatinate and especially the Bavarian Forest are considered structurally weak. The lack of (public) transport connections does not exactly make it easy for the regional cultural landscape to prosper.
Out of love for underground music, the associated D.I.Y. culture and to make the music scene in the Bavarian Forest heard, we founded the non-profit Void e.V. in 2012 and organised the first Void Fest.

The aim was and is to enrich the Upper Palatinate cultural landscape with innovative bands beyond the mainstream, but also to provide visitors with a lasting, familiar and atmospheric festival and concert experience.
The picturesque setting of the venue in the Bavarian Forest also contributes to this. It seems to be made for the musical atmosphere of the Void Festival.

We have always planned and organised the festival, as well as smaller events in surrounding cities like Regensburg, on our own. Without a doubt, all of this would never be possible without our more than one hundred helpers.
In order to maintain this spirit, the festival has been limited to 1,000 visitors, affectionately known as Voidians, since its inception.
